The Role
As Assistant Manager, you'll work closely with the General Manager to keep the venue running at its best. You'll lead the team on the floor, uphold guest experience standards, and take ownership of the operation when the GM isn't on site. It's a hands-on role with real responsibility — and a genuine stepping stone to running your own venue.
What You'll Be Doing
- Support the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the venue
- Lead shifts confidently, keeping the team focused and the service standards high
- Deliver warm, memorable guest experiences on every visit
- Handle guest queries and complaints with confidence and professionalism
- Assist with stock management, ordering, and wastage control
- Support team training, onboarding, and development
- Ensure the venue meets licensing, food safety, and health and safety requirements
- Step up as Duty Manager when required
What You'll Bring
Essential:- Proven experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within hospitality, ideally within a food-led environment
- A track record of leading a team and delivering strong guest experiences
- Solid understanding of food safety and licensing compliance
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as part of a rota
- Personal Licence holder
