Key Areas of Responsibility:
The Junior Field Service Engineer (JFSE) is responsible for troubleshooting and attending electrical and mechanical breakdowns. The individual must demonstrate excellent customer-facing skills while remaining calm and resolving any challenges on site in an amicable manner in line with company policy. Responsibilities include:
- Advising the help desk on any breakdown issues.
- Communicating and liaising with the business in support of all its products.
- Focusing on delivering and driving solutions through ownership.
- Attending sites throughout the country at short notice to provide solutions for customers and the business.
- Understanding and demonstrating the functionality of CNC equipment.
Providing technical and sales support to the business, including:
- Commissioning, training, and installation.
- Electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
- Driving change through historical and acquired knowledge.
- Documentation and procedures when needed.
Main Tasks:
- Service work.
- Preventative maintenance.
- Installation and commissioning of capital equipment (preferably CNC machines).
- Breakdown electrical and mechanical.
- Training.
- Supporting customers and the helpdesk on technical and customer issues.
- Understanding mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting in the event of difficulties arising from an intervention.
- Site surveys.

- Ensuring work is carried out to the highest standard within the allowed timeframe and actively reducing any remedial work.
