Salary £25,000 - £27,000 per annum
Reports To: Reporting to the Head of Design & Estimating.
The role is office based, working hours are 8.30am - 5pm Monday to Friday.
The Design & Estimating Team sits at the spearhead of this company’s customer journey.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Designers are responsible for creating production-ready designs of our client's floor products using in-house design software; this is bespoke to their industry, so full training will be given.
- Prepare drawing/document packs for issues internally and externally across our client's range of products.
- Prepare drawing registers and issue sheets to accompany designs.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with client’s technical teams.
- Support Estimating, Customer Service & Manufacturing Teams in managing the flow of information through the business, working particularly closely with Estimating to ensure designs are costed effectively.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous design, CAD, construction industry or product experience is preferred but not essential as there is full training.
- Ability to process information accurately, have an eye for detail and the ability to retain knowledge.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage time, and learn/develop skills independently.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Enthusiasm, inquisitiveness, and ability to adapt to change.
- Team-oriented mindset, willing to get behind colleagues and support the overall business and team.
