Job Description

Reporting to the Operations Director, supporting theday-to-day running of our client's manufacturing Operations and Sales AdministrationTeam.

Responsible for setting the strategic direction, youwill be ensuring daily activities are delivered efficiently, priorities arecoordinated, and teams are supported to achieve operational objectives.

This is a hands-on leadership role, leadingthe Production/Machine Shop (12 employees) and 2 Sales Administrators(14 staff across both areas), ensuring work is completed safely,efficiently and to the high standards our customers expect. Working closelywith the Operations Director to implement improvements, develop employees anddrive operational excellence across both manufacturing and customer orderprocessing.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting the Operations Director in the day-to-daymanagement of manufacturing Operations and the Sales Administration team.

Lead, motivate and develop Production and SalesAdministration, promoting a positive, collaborative and accountable workingculture.

Plan and prioritise workloads to ensure productionschedules, customer orders and Sales Desk activities are completed efficientlyand on time.

Ensure the Sales Desk delivers excellent customerservice by supporting the team to meet agreed response times for customerenquiries, quotations, order processing and complaint resolution.

Monitor Internal Sales Desk performance, identifyingopportunities to improve responsiveness, communication, accuracy and theoverall customer experience.

Identify and implement continuous improvementinitiatives across manufacturing operations to improve productivity, quality,efficiency, workflow and workplace organisation.

Lead continuous improvement activities within the SalesAdministration, streamlining order processing, reducing administrative waste,improving communication and ensuring customers receive timely, accurateresponses throughout their experience.

Offer effective communication between Production, theSales Administration and other departments to maintain operational performance.

Provide regular feedback to the Operations Director onteam performance, operational issues and improvement opportunities.

You will be an organised, positive and proactiveleader who enjoys working with people and improving the way a businessoperates.

Skills required:

Previous supervisory or teamleadership experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.

Strongpeople management and communication skills.

Theability to plan, organise and prioritise workloads effectively.

Apractical approach to problem solving and decision making.

Apassion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Confidenceusing Microsoft Office and business or production systems.

Theability to build strong working relationships across all areas of the business.

Ahands-on attitude and willingness to lead by example.

Experience working within an manufacturing environment.

Experienceof Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen or other continuous improvementmethodologies.

Experienceusing ERP/MRP systems.

Implementationof QMS systems

Health& Safety or supervisory qualifications.
