Salary- £28,000 - £35,000 plus annual bonus and shift allowance for late shift (everyother week)

Hours – alternate weeks 37.5 hours:

6.00am– 2.00pm Mon – Thus, 6.00am – 1.00pm Friday

2.00pm– 10.00pm Mon – Thurs, 1.00pm – 8.00pm Friday

Aboutthe Role

Ourclient is seeking an experienced CNC Polishing Technician to join their FabricationTeam, manufacturing high-precision components to exacting customerspecifications.

Inthis role, you will set up, operate and monitor CNC polishing equipment used toachieve demanding surface specifications, dimensional accuracy and surfacequality requirements. Working to exacting tolerances, you will be responsiblefor producing high-value components that meet customer, drawing and processrequirements.

Workingwith delicate and often fragile materials, you will take ownership ofcomponents throughout the polishing process, ensuring the highest standards ofquality, cleanliness, workmanship and attention to detail are maintained at alltimes.

KeyResponsibilities

• Set upand operate CNC polishing machines to manufacture precision components.
• Readand interpret engineering drawings, process documentation andmanufacturing instructions.
• Polishcomponents to specified dimensional, form and surface finish requirements.
• Selectand prepare polishing tools, fixtures, consumables and polishingcompounds.
• Adjustmachine parameters to achieve required surface quality and processconsistency.
• Monitorpolishing operations and make process adjustments where required.
• Performfirst-off inspections and in-process quality checks to verify compliancewith specifications.
• Conductvisual inspections for scratches, digs, chips, defects and surfacecontamination.
• Supportmetrology and inspection activities using approved measurement equipment.
• Cleancomponents using approved methods whilst maintaining strict cleanlinessstandards.
• Identifyand report non-conformances, damage or process abnormalities promptly.
• Completeproduction records, route cards, process sheets and inspectiondocumentation accurately.
• Maintainfull product traceability throughout the manufacturing process.
• FollowStandard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions and approvedmanufacturing processes.
• Understandand support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities to ensureequipment reliability.
• Assistwith machine maintenance, housekeeping and equipment care activities.
• Maintaina clean, organised and controlled working environment.
• Handledelicate, high-value materials safely and carefully throughout manufactureand inspection.
• Workcollaboratively with colleagues while also being capable of workingindependently.
• Prioritiseworkload effectively to meet production schedules and customer deliveryrequirements.
• Supportcontinuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, efficiencyand repeatability.
• Reportequipment issues, tooling concerns, quality problems and processdeviations promptly.
• Complywith all company Health & Safety, Quality and Environmentalprocedures.
