The Role: Our client is looking for a Production Assistant to join their manufacturing team. You will be responsible for building and assembling equipment to production schedules, ensuring high quality standards throughout. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys practical, technical work and takes pride in producing quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build finished products and sub-assemblies to production schedules
- Wiring and soldering of electronic components
- Testing assembled units to quality standards
- Configuring PCs and setting up radio channels
- Once trained, calibrating completed units ready for dispatch
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area
- Following health and safety procedures
- Flagging any quality issues or production delays
Essential:
- Practical, hands-on approach with good manual dexterity
- Experience with wiring, soldering or electronics assembly
- Ability to follow technical instructions and work to specifications
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable and able to work to deadlines
- Comfortable using PCs and basic software
Desirable:
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Knowledge of electronic testing equipment
Annual leave: 25 days plus bank holidays (3 days reserved for Christmas closure)
