Working hours: Monday to Thursday 08:30 - 17:00, Friday 08:30 - 16:30

The Role: Our client is looking for a Production Assistant to join their manufacturing team. You will be responsible for building and assembling equipment to production schedules, ensuring high quality standards throughout. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys practical, technical work and takes pride in producing quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build finished products and sub-assemblies to production schedules
  • Wiring and soldering of electronic components
  • Testing assembled units to quality standards
  • Configuring PCs and setting up radio channels
  • Once trained, calibrating completed units ready for dispatch
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work area
  • Following health and safety procedures
  • Flagging any quality issues or production delays

Essential:

  • Practical, hands-on approach with good manual dexterity
  • Experience with wiring, soldering or electronics assembly
  • Ability to follow technical instructions and work to specifications
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Reliable and able to work to deadlines
  • Comfortable using PCs and basic software

Desirable:

Annual leave: 25 days plus bank holidays (3 days reserved for Christmas closure)
