Responsibilities:

  • Managing business (Customers, Projects, turnover, discount) within a defined area.
  • Maintaining and building new customer trading relationships.
  • Growing market share within a geographical area.
  • Working closely with Sales Managers to identify and target new Customers.
  • Developing, maintaining and growing turnovers from existing Customers.
  • Developing and maintaining a project pipeline for your geographical area.
  • Working closely with Sales Managers to deliver annual personal targets.
  • Working closely with Customers to manage queries/complaints.
  • Working closely with Customers to manage debt.
  • Negotiating trading agreements and discount levels with Customers.
  • New product market penetration.
  • Operating within the company financial guidelines.
  • Working closely with Sales Managers to ensure the most cost effective and profitable solutions are given to the Customer.
  • Relationship building with both new and existing Customers.
  • Forming relationships with technical staff and Customers to promote efficient use of products.
  • Representing the Sales Team to collaborate with and support other regions.
  • Reporting on business activity.

Skills required:

  • Previous experience selling within the Construction Industry or Civil Engineering.
  • Business Development Experience selling into Rail/Waterworks/Highways/Power Grids.
  • Drive/Ambition.
  • Excellent communication skills/relationship builder.
  • Target driven/Goal orientated.
  • Flexible to travel and some overnight stops as required.
