Ourclient is looking for a Technical Writer to join their Rugby team and help makecomplex product information clear, accurate and easy to use.
Youwill work closely with Engineering, Design and other business teams to createand improve manuals, installation guides, maintenance information and productdocumentation. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys organisinginformation, improving standards and producing polished, user-friendly content.
Duties:
- Create and updateoperation manuals, installation guides, maintenance instructions and productinformation.
- Turn engineering drawings,specifications and technical input into clear, easy-to-follow content.
- Work with engineers, designers and product specialists to confirm information and maintain accuracy.
- Manage document revisions, templates, file structures and controlled documentation libraries.
- Create or coordinate product images, diagrams and technical illustrations.
- Support multilingual documentation and help improve the consistency, quality and usability of our documents.
- Experience creating technical documents, manuals, instructions or similarly structured content.
- Strong written English and the ability to explain technical information clearly.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation and document presentation.
- Strong Microsoft Word skills and confidence working with standard Microsoft Office applications.
- A collaborative approach and the confidence to gather information from technical colleagues.
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering, equipment or another technical product environment.
- Experience with document control, revision management or compliance documentation.
- Ability to read CADdrawings, engineering documents or bills of materials.
- Experience with AdobeInDesign, Illustrator or similar publishing and graphics software.
- Experience coordinatingtranslated or multilingual documents.
