Shift Systems Rotating6.00am – 2.00pm and 2.00pm to 10.00pm (Rotating weekly)
£30,000- £35,000 per annum (depending on experience, including lates shift allowance)
Working within a small team operating CNCmachinery including 3 AXIS CNC Milling Machinery, high speedspindle polishers, single point diamond turning machines and twin lap polishingmachines to manufacture a wide range of precision equipment.
Most of your duties will be completedworking from your own initiative whilst also adhering to standard operatingprocedures and work instruction documents.
Involved in continuous process improvementsparticipating as a team member or under the direct instruction from you TeamLeader or Manager.
You should be able to consistentlydemonstrate high levels of efficiency and quality in your output whilstensuring scrap and rework is kept to a minimum.
Quality:
- Be Competent to use in-process inspectionequipment within the department and be able to interpret information to makechanges to the process where necessary.
- Be able to consistently achieve low levelsof scrap and rework.
- Have a good understanding for the relevantstandard quality specifications.
- Examine all work prior to passing onto thenext stage and be sure that it meets all requirements. Show good levels ofcraftsmanship and quality in the products that you produce.
Productivity:
- Be able to consistently work towards, andimprove, standard manufacturing times.
- Be able to manufacture high specificationoptics utilising your knowledge in fabrication processes.
Adhere to Health &Safety requirements.
Be able to maintain route cards and therelevant paperwork systems.
Have a goodunderstanding of technical drawings.
Continually look for ways in which to reducethe usage of resources and keep waste to a minimum.
Physical Demands:
Fabrication Technicians have aresponsibility to assist in the general running of the area; this will involvephysical activities such as transporting products to various departments withinthe fabrication area. Frequent lifting of weights in excess of 5kgs may berequired.
Skills required:
- Experience CNC Milling experience
- Competent user of 3AXIS – essential
- Preference given to those with 4 or 5 AXISexperience
- Ability to read Technical Drawings – 3D CAD
- Team player, flexible to working rotating shifts
