Office-based role

Rose & Rose is a well-established law firm with a strong presence across London. Our family department continues to grow, driven by consistent client demand and an excellent reputation for quality and client care. We are now looking to welcome an experienced Family Solicitor to join our friendly, collaborative team in Kingston. This is an opportunity for a solicitor who enjoys high-quality work, values client relationships, and wants to be part of a firm that combines technical excellence with a genuinely supportive, down-to-earth culture.

The role

You will manage a varied and engaging caseload across the full spectrum of private family law matters, including:

  • Divorce and separation
  • Cohabitation and separation agreements
  • Pre- and post-nuptial agreements
  • Overseas Expat Divorce
  • Child Arrangements

You will have the autonomy to handle matters from initial instruction through to conclusion, working closely with clients during often sensitive and complex situations. The role offers a strong mix of advisory and contentious work, making it ideal for a solicitor who enjoys both technical challenge and client interaction. While the firm benefits from a steady flow of high-quality work, we are keen to appoint someone with a commercial and proactive approach. You will be encouraged to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and referrers, contribute to the continued growth of the department, and take ownership of your caseload, including service delivery and financial performance.

About you

  • A qualified solicitor with the equivalent of 5 years + PQE in family law
  • Confident managing your own caseload independently and without supervision
  • Strong client-facing skills, with a sensitive and practical approach
  • Commercially aware, with a proven ability to manage matters effectively and maintain strong billing performance
  • Organised, detail-focused and reliable
  • Ambitious and motivated to progress within a growing firm

Why join Rose & Rose

  • A strong pipeline of high-quality family work
  • A supportive, communal culture without traditional law firm stuffiness
  • Genuine autonomy alongside partner support
  • Clear progression opportunities, including senior roles and partnership
  • Competitive salary reflective of experience and contribution

This role would suit a family solicitor who wants to develop their practice, take ownership of their work and build their career within a firm that values quality, personality and long-term commitment.
