A lovely family based in St Albans are looking for a warm, nurturing part-time nanny to care for their youngest son, who will be turning one in July. The family also have an older child aged 5, who is currently at school.

About the Role

The role will initially be two days per week, approximately 9am–3pm, ideally increasing to three regular days per week from January. There may also be opportunities for additional ad hoc hours before this point too, alongside occasional evening babysitting support.

The family are looking for a nanny who is gentle and caring, someone who can become a trusted and valued part of family life. They are particularly keen to find a nanny who is experienced with young children.

The family currently manage all school drop-offs and pick-ups, however the nanny may occasionally be asked to assist when a parent is travelling. The school is approximately a 15-minute walk from the family home, and the family typically walk or cycle locally.

As English is not the family’s first language, the family would be especially interested in hearing from Swedish and/or Dutch-speaking nannies, although this is by no means essential.

Interested candidates should hold an enhanced DBS certificate and Paediatric First Aid training, and have previous experience caring for children of a similar age.
