A lovely family based in Notting Hill are looking for a kind, caring and emotionally intelligent Nanny/PA to support their family and care for their 6-year-old daughter on a part-time basis.
About the Role
The role will focus on caring for their daughter, alongside providing practical support to help family life run smoothly. Duties will include:
- School pick-ups
- Accompanying her on the bus or tube
- Taking her to the park and playdates
- Supporting with homework
- Occasionally hosting playdates
- Preparing nutritious meals
- Keeping her play areas and bedroom tidy and organised
Alongside childcare duties, the family would love someone who is happy to help with light household tasks, such as:
- Family meal preparation
- Grocery shopping
- Collecting dry cleaning
- Posting parcels
- Picking up items from local shops
- Helping with general organisation and errands when needed
The ideal candidate will be nurturing, responsive and a strong communicator, with the ability to provide gentle but firm boundaries and become a trusted support to the family. Someone with a can-do attitude who is happy to muck in and make day-to-day family life a little easier would be ideal.
The role will be primarily based in Notting Hill, with one afternoon each week spent at the child's father's home in Shepherd's Bush, which is just a 10-minute walk from her school.
Candidates must hold an Enhanced DBS certificate, and previous childcare experience with school-aged children is essential. Paediatric First Aid training would be advantageous.
Salary will be in the region of £16-£18 gross per hour, depending on experience and qualifications, with the role beginning in September, and the option of working either all year round or term-time only.
Hours could be laid out as the following:
Option 1 (15 hours per week)
- Wednesday: 1:30pm-6:30pm
- Thursday: 1:30pm-6:30pm
- Friday: 1pm-6pm
Option 2 (16 hours per week)
- Tuesday: 2pm-6pm
- Wednesday: 2:30pm-6:30pm
- Thursday: 2pm-6pm
- Friday: 2pm-6pm
