Responsibilities
As our Cook, you will play a key supporting role during service. Your day-to-day will include:
- Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to a high standard under the direction of the senior chefs.
- Assisting with running specific cooking stations efficiently during busy periods.
- Supporting the team with daily tasks and menu preparation.
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and safety standards.
- Ensuring your work station is clean, stocked, and well-organised.
- Assisting with stock control, ordering, and reducing waste as directed.
- Working collaboratively with the rest of the team to deliver great food consistently.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Cook, or strong experience as a Kitchen Assistant, where you were responsible for preparing cooked food.
- Solid understanding of kitchen operations and food safety standards.
- Ability to stay calm and productive under pressure.
- A passion for cooking and presenting great food.
- Strong team ethic and good communication skills.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a proactive attitude.
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Food hygiene certification is a bonus but not essential.
