Rose Bruford College is a specialist conservatoire with a national and growing international reputation. The relationships we build with the professional world our graduates enter are fundamental to what we are, and this role sits at the heart of that.
As Communications Manager, Productions and Partnerships, you will be the communications link between the College's events programme and the agents, industry partners, and sector organisations it works with. You will coordinate industry engagement and guest lists, manage ticketing operations, develop and maintain year‑round relationships with partners on behalf of the College, and keep the digital presence sharp and current. You will also contribute to the shared work of the Corporate Affairs team: social media, awards submissions, website content, and evidence gathering that supports the College's external profile and standing.
The data behind this work matters as much as the relationships. Ticketing is not just audience development: it feeds income reporting, supports the College's theatre tax relief claims, and contributes to sector submissions and the evidence base for major funding bids. The post holder understands that every event, every guest list, and every follow‑up is also a data point, and treats it accordingly.
The events calendar moves fast, and the industry contact list needs to be worked consistently, not just around deadlines. You will be organised, confident in making professional recommendations, and genuinely curious about the creative industries and the professional landscape our graduates go on to join. You will work as part of a small Corporate Affairs team that is building its capability properly for the first time, and there is real scope to shape how things get done.
What you will bring:
- Experience in communications, marketing, or external relations, ideally in higher education, the arts, or a comparable specialist environment.
- Confidence managing relationships with external partners.
- Strong digital skills including website CMS, social media, and digital asset management.
- A systematic approach to deadlines and workflows.
- Experience in or around events, the creative industries, or productions is desirable.
- Familiarity with ticketing platforms and an understanding of GDPR as it applies to image use and contact data are also welcome.
The role:
Based at our Sidcup campus and at London venues as the work requires. Strong on‑site presence expected in year one. Hybrid working available outside of peak periods.
Rose Bruford College is committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion. We welcome applications from all backgrounds.
£45,000 to £50,000. DOE
