The College is seeking to appoint an inspiring Lecturer or Senior Lecturer leader to join the teaching team of the new and innovative BA (hons) International Acting Practices. BA (hons) International Acting Practices is an intensive training programme designed to educate practitioner-artists with skills in acting, performing, directing, and theatre-making. At the core of this programme is practice research and an understanding of training cultures outside of the European tradition. This is an exciting opportunity to join this new programme and develop a progressive actor/performer training that sits within a thriving undergraduate acting culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Have knowledge of specific acting and performance approaches, arising from professional and/or scholarly activity, and be able to translate this into a conservatoire teaching setting.
  • Cultivate a network of other professionals who might usefully contribute to the programme.

Qualifications:

  • Specialise in methodologies from the Global Majority and/or Global South, and/or have strong networks and reach in these areas.
  • Be willing to cultivate a network of other professionals who might usefully contribute to the programme.
