About the role
As a FinOps Lead Contractor, youâll be embedded within partner companies, working directly with founders and the Câsuite of ĐĐ”Ń startups and scaleups to deliver impactful finance solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead small finance teams across the UK and India, providing technical mentorship and ensuring delivery of key projects.
- Overall management of Bust finance operations including establishing bestâinâclass finance processes, implementing controls and building scenarioâbased financial models from scratch.
- Apply strong accountancy and finance expertise across bookkeeping, billing, preparation of statutory accounts, VAT, EMI options and CAP table management.
- Implement tech solutions, finance apps and automate wherever possible.
- Manage fractional contracts (0.5â2 days per week), working across Ú ÙÚ© multiple clients in a typical working week.
Your profile
- Available at least 2 days per week, and able to be onsite in London 1â2 days each week.
- 5+ years in Finance, with experience in a senior finance role within a tech or eâcommerce startup or scaleup.
- Finance credentials such as ACA or CIMA ideally.
- A strong understanding of what effective finance operations look like in smaller startups or scaleups.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Experience beyond finance â partnered with operations, sales, marketing or other functions.
- Familiarity with cloudâbased financial platforms used by startups, like Xero (strongly preferred) and tools such as Dext, Pleo, Spendesk, etc.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, both written and spoken.
