The Department
Working alongside other lawyers to provide an outstanding service to the Private Equity Transactions group and its clients.

The Role
Provides direct support to the Private Equity Transactions group to assist them with legal work including:

  • Assisting with the review of confidentiality agreements and engagement letters
  • Assisting with tasks relating to due diligence
  • Providing signing, closing and post‑signing support to fee earners
  • Maintaining trackers of documents and sending weekly updates on client activity
  • From time to time, assisting with general overflow work from wider fee earning group
  • Communicating, corresponding and interacting with partners and associates and with time, clients and counter parties

Qualifications and Skills
Educated to degree level or above. Possesses excellent drafting skills and strong organisational skills. Hardworking, resilient team player with ability to operate under pressure. Able to work under tight deadlines, handle multiple, detailed tasks simultaneously, prioritise appropriately and delegate to resources available. Collaborates effectively and professionally with clients, partners, associates and staff. Possesses strong oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate to people at all levels. Delivers high quality work product and has the ability to follow up and follow through. Able to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as a team player, in a fast‑paced environment. Able to work effectively in a multi‑office environment and culturally and educationally diverse environment. Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office and Excel. Ideally has experience of document management systems.
