About Rootshell Security

Rootshell Security helps organisations move beyond traditional, point-in-time penetration testing and static reports into a continuous security programme that evolves alongside modern environments and threats. We combine expert-led penetration testing with technology to deliver ongoing visibility, testing, and improvement — helping our customers stay secure as their attack surface changes.

The Role

We’re looking for a motivated and commercially driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to help accelerate Rootshell’s outbound growth across the UK and US markets. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building pipeline, opening conversations with senior stakeholders, and developing outbound strategies that create real commercial opportunities. You’ll work closely with sales and marketing to identify target accounts, engage prospects, and generate qualified meetings for the wider commercial team. You’ll play a key role in helping organisations understand the shift from reactive, point-in-time security testing to a continuous security approach.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Identify and prospect target accounts across the UK and US markets
  • Generate qualified meetings and pipeline opportunities through outbound activity
  • Research organisations, security initiatives, and key stakeholders
  • Build personalised outreach campaigns across email, phone, and LinkedIn
  • Create messaging that resonates with security, IT, and technical audiences
  • Maintain accurate CRM data and activity tracking
  • Work closely with marketing and sales to improve targeting, messaging, and conversion
  • Learn and communicate Rootshell’s continuous security approach and value proposition
  • Contribute ideas and feedback to improve outbound performance and processes

What We’re Looking For

  • 1–3+ years’ experience in SDR, BDR, or outbound sales roles
  • Strong outbound prospecting and communication skills
  • Confident engaging with senior stakeholders and technical buyers
  • Curious, coachable, and commercially motivated
  • Strong research and account-mapping ability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter mentality with a proactive approach to pipeline generation
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving growth environment
  • Experience using modern sales tools such as Salesforce
  • Cybersecurity or technology sales experience required

Why Join Rootshell

  • Be part of a rapidly growing cybersecurity company redefining how organisations approach security
  • Sell a genuinely differentiated offering focused on continuous security, not one-off engagements
  • Work directly with leadership and contribute to company growth
  • Clear progression opportunities as the commercial team scales
  • Collaborative, ambitious, and supportive environment
  • Competitive salary, commission structure, and hybrid working
