About Rootshell Security

Rootshell Security helps organisations move beyond traditional, point-in-time penetration testing and static reports into a continuous security programme that evolves alongside modern environments and threats. We combine expert-led penetration testing with technology to deliver ongoing visibility, testing, and improvement — helping our customers stay secure as their attack surface changes.

The Role

We’re looking for a Sales Development Manager to build and lead a high-performing SDR function from the ground up. This is a leadership role ideally for someone who enjoys both strategy and execution. You’ll define how we go to market outbound, build a team, and play a key role in defining how Rootshell scales outbound revenue generation across the UK and US markets.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Build and lead a new SDR team targeting UK and US accounts
  • Recruit, coach, and develop high-performing SDRs
  • Create outbound messaging and sequences that actually land
  • Drive improvements in pipeline quality and conversion — not vanity metrics
  • Work closely with marketing and sales to sharpen positioning and feedback loops
  • Help prospects understand the shift from point-in-time testing to continuous security

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5+ years’ experience in SDR / Business Development roles
  • Previous leadership, mentoring, or team coaching experience
  • Background in cybersecurity or technology services (preferred)
  • Strong outbound prospecting and account research skills
  • Confidence engaging with security, IT, and technical stakeholders
  • Commercial mindset with a proactive, builder mentality
  • Comfortable creating structure, processes, and standards from scratch
  • Hands‑on, player‑coach mindset with a willingness to stay close to execution
  • Strong understanding of modern sales tooling (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot, Clay, Sales Navigator)

Why Join Rootshell

  • Be part of a rapidly growing cybersecurity company redefining how organisations approach security
  • Sell a genuinely differentiated offering focused on continuous security, not one‑off engagements
  • Build and shape an SDR function with real ownership and influence
  • Work closely with leadership and have a direct impact on revenue growth
  • Competitive salary, commission structure, and hybrid working
