Hi, I'm looking for a part time self employed construction labourer to work regularly with us installing kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms in our clients homes.
This involves: * Helping on strip outs by protecting floors with corex and carpet protection * Helping other trades on the strip out and bringing the waste back to our showroom for sorting into reuse, recycling or skip waste. * Helping trades with lifting and handling awkward items during the fit (for example, tall cabinet housings and shower enclosures) * Delivering materials * Typically we'll assume full day or half day bookings, so if there's 3/4 of a days work you'll still get the full day pay.
You need: * A valid drivers licence with 3 points or fewer.
You'll drive a long wheelbase Sprinter or a Citroen Relay. * To be physically fit * Have the knowledge to work safely (CSCS card or equivalent knowledge and experience) * To be self employed with CIS Registration * To be reliable and turn up when booked. * To be tidier than the average building site - we work in people homes, there's no smoking on sites or in vans.
About us: * Roots Kitchens Bedrooms Bathrooms is an independent family owned and run business designing, suppling and installing complete rooms. * I like to think we're nice to work with, but I'm biased.
A lot of people we work with have worked with us for many years so I think that's a good sign.
If you are interested: * Please send your CV and work experience * If you're not good with computers you can also drop off a CV to our showroom between Faversham and Canterbury. * Please include your day rate!
I've set £120/day as the lowest amount but your skills and experience may allow you to ask for more.
We have 2 weeks in September that I need to fill now for holiday cover and then typically it would be 3 to 5 days a month (we've been very busy this last 6 months and expect that level of work to continue) Payment for all sub contractor invoices, including for this role, is intended to be within 7 days (which is one reason why so many of our sub contractors like working with us)
