Registered Manager - Children's Home, Loughborough
Roots Healthcare is opening a new Ofsted-registered solo children's home in Loughborough for one young person aged 6 to 16 with emotional and behavioural difficulties. We are looking for an experienced, child-centred Registered Manager to lead the home from the start and build a small, stable, well-trained team around one child.
Compensation
- Up to £60,000 base salary a year (based on experience)
- Plus a sign-on bonus, performance bonus and on-call payments
- Total package up to £65,000

What you will do
- Lead the day-to-day running of the home and be the Registered Manager with Ofsted
- Make sure the home meets the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards at all times
- Recruit, supervise, train and support the staff team
- Build warm, trauma-informed care around the young person's plan, working closely with social workers, schools, health professionals and families
- Lead on safeguarding, risk assessments, placement planning and record keeping
- Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections and Regulation 44 visits, and act on what they find
What we are looking for
- At least 3 years of experience in children's residential care, including time as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager
- Experience supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or willingness to complete it (we fund it)
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted requirements and safeguarding
- Calm, consistent leadership and a genuine commitment to improving children's lives
- Ability to pass an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
- Must be located within commutable distance of Loughborough
