The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 € per year.

Part-Time – 16 Hours per Week (2 Days) - Fixed term 6 - 12 months. Travel across Glasgow, Ayrshire, Edinburgh and occasionally further afield.

About the Role

You’ll play a key role in delivering trauma-informed training, supporting service development, undertaking audits, and contributing to consultancy work across social care settings — particularly within residential childcare. You’ll work closely with services to support improvement, strengthen practice, and help create environments that are safe, relational, and conducive to recovery.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Delivering engaging, trauma-informed training across topics such as safeguarding, child protection, and relational practice.
  • Adapting training delivery to meet the needs of different audiences and environments.
  • Undertaking service audits and supporting inspection readiness.
  • Supporting consultancy and workforce development projects.
  • Building strong, positive relationships with professionals across the social care sector.
  • Contributing to the ongoing development of training materials and service delivery.
  • Representing Roots and Wings in a way that reflects our compassionate, relational ethos.
Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has strong experience within social care (residential childcare experience is highly desirable).
  • Is confident facilitating training and engaging groups of professionals.
  • Can think on their feet and adapt their approach in the moment.
  • Builds trust quickly and communicates with warmth and professionalism.
  • Works independently, takes initiative, and manages their workload effectively.
  • Is reflective, open to feedback, and committed to ongoing learning.
  • Shares our values around trauma-informed and compassionate practice.
  • Enjoys working within a small, collaborative team environment.
  • Experience within the social care sector.
  • Experience delivering training, facilitating groups, or supporting workforce development.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice.
  • Knowledge of inspection frameworks such as Ofsted and the Care Inspectorate.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
  • Background in psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • Qualifications in training, coaching, or education.
  • Experience in audits or quality assurance work.
  • Additional interest or study in trauma and relational practice.
