The predicted salary is between 5000 - 15000 £ per year.

Our allotment sites have community at the heart of them and thrive on good vibes created by the patch manager and the wider Roots team. We are looking for someone with green fingers to represent the Roots brand at our Leeds site. From welcoming customers to watering patches, or teaching local school kids how to grow, you'll be the heart and soul of our growing community. There will be some computer-based work needed but you'll be outside enjoying the sunshine most of the time.

Day to Day

  • Building community by identifying key members of the Roots community who can contribute and add to on-site ethos and activity i.e. yoga teachers, ecologists, poets, artists, musicians.
  • Welcoming new members to the community.
  • Site maintenance (mowing + pruning + watering decorative features).
  • Maintaining flagship patches (Roots + donated schools).
  • Completing services for growers (edging, watering, weeding).
  • Meeting prospective customers.
  • Answering on-site queries from the community.
  • Event and content support.
  • Cleaning toilets.
