Lead continuous improvement initiatives and optimise manufacturing processes within a forward-thinking engineering business based in Bangor.

Provide day-to-day engineering support to production operations, troubleshooting equipment and process issues while working closely with assemblers and operators. Lead continuous improvement projects focused on enhancing productivity, quality, labour efficiency, and throughput using Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles. Manage engineering changes, process validations, PFMEAs, and manufacturing documentation to ensure robust and controlled production processes. Support new product introductions by developing tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing methods that ensure efficient and scalable production.

Full-time, permanent position working 39 hours per week. Standard hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4:30pm, Friday 7:30am to 12:30pm. Opportunity to lead impactful process improvement and operational excellence projects. Competitive salary and benefits package offered, dependent on experience and qualifications.

Skills:

  • BSc or HNC in an engineering or technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Previous experience in Production or Manufacturing Engineering with a strong focus on continuous improvement and structured problem solving.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD/Draftsight, with advanced Microsoft Excel and ERP system knowledge.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
