Are you a team player with ambitions of being rewarded for your input with directorship in the near future? If so we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, ambitious Company Accountant to join our client, one of the UK\’s leading manufacturers in their field. As part of the management team, you will take responsibility for the day-day financial activities along with the preparation of management accounts and reporting functions. Specific responsibilities include: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Management of the day-to-day finance operations of the company Preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts Manage and provide financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting information and resolution to the Board to support the business in decision making Overseeing accounting procedures to ensure compliance with regulations. Annual statutory accounts preparation and management of annual audits if required Manage cash flow and bank balances Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with customers and vendors Monitoring vendor accounts, proactively engaging with suppliers with regular communications to resolve any issues that may arise Review and reporting on cost centres ensuring budgets by department are met Work closely with the Business Accountants to ensure payroll, VAT, Monthly and Statutory Accounts are accurate and actioned in a prompt and timely manner Management of small accounts team ensuring objectives and targets are met PERSONAL SPECIFICATION: AAT, ACCA or equivalent qualification Experience from within a manufacturing environment is desirable Ability to prepare and present financial accounts and information to non-financial colleagues Excellent communicator, verbal and written Experience of Microsoft Navision or similar MRP/ERP although the company is moving to Business Central 365 shortly. A passion for delivering exceptional customer service Genuine team player and willingness to get involved in other areas as required. Your experience will be from within a similar manufacturing SME, working as either Company Accountant, Financial Controller or Finance Manager with experience of supervising a small accounts team.
