Role Overview (Volunteer Position)
This is a volunteer, unpaid, part-time remote role for a Fundraiser at RoomReview LTD. This opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about housing justice, community impact, and early-stage startups who wants to contribute their skills to a meaningful cause. As a Volunteer Fundraiser, you will play a critical role in supporting RoomReview mission by developing and managing fundraising initiatives. You will work closely with the founding team to secure funding through grants, sponsorships, partnerships, and philanthropic opportunities, helping to build a sustainable financial foundation for the platform’s growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and manage fundraising campaigns aligned with RoomReview mission
- Identify and research potential sponsors, grant opportunities, and funding partners
- Prepare compelling fundraising proposals, grant applications
- Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners
- Track donor engagement and contributions using databases or CRM tools
- Collaborate with the wider team to shape a long-term, sustainable funding strategy
Qualifications
- Experience in developing and managing fundraising strategies or campaigns
- Strong relationship-building, networking, and donor management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive proposals
- Knowledge of grant writing, sponsorship outreach, or philanthropic fundraising
- Ability to manage data and track fundraising activity
- Passion for RoomReview mission and improving housing standards
- Experience in nonprofit or startup fundraising is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field preferred
