As the Head of Finance, you provide the financial leadership that fuels our mission to redefine sustainable hospitality. You aren't just managing the books; you are the primary guardian of a financial framework built on integrity, transparency and sustainable profitability. By leading with a strategic head and a partnership-focused heart, you will empower business leaders across the group to remove financial friction and make data-driven decisions. You are a trusted partner across the senior leadership team, ensuring our ambitious growth is backed by robust governance and insightful analysis. Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Financial Partnership
    • Provide strategic financial leadership across the group to achieve our long-term objectives and drive business growth.
    • Act as a trusted partner to the executive team and business leaders, providing insightful analysis and recommendations for key decisions.
    • Build strategic partnerships with General Managers, Heads of Departments and Directors using data-driven insights to meet group budgets.
    • Lead the annual budgeting process and provide commercial analysis of business units to drive top and bottom-line growth.
  • Financial Operations & Reporting Excellence
    • Oversee the management of day-to-day finance team operations, ensuring timely and accurate month-end close.
    • Review month-end processes including balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations and assist the team in query resolution.
    • Ensure production of monthly and quarterly financial decks for Directors, covering P&L, BS and Cashflow at property, company and consolidated levels.
    • Oversee and develop detailed cashflow reporting and prepare financial reports for the Board.
    • Maintain compliance with banking covenant reporting and oversee the validation of all HMRC filings including VAT and PAYE.
  • Governance, Risk and Efficiency
    • Establish and oversee the group's financial framework, ensuring strong governance, compliance and performance management.
    • Act as the point of reference and standard bearer for all accounting guidance and treatment.
    • Constantly review and recommend cost-saving measures and effective control environments for accurate reporting.
    • Identify automations and efficiencies within the department to streamline processes and reduce manual tasks.
    • Manage the annual audit process and maintain a proactive relationship with external auditors.
  • Development & Project Support
    • Coach and train the finance team, empowering their growth through personal development plans (PDPs) and clear objectives.
    • Build department resilience by creating SOPs on best practices and ensuring adequate coverage for operational finance.
    • Partner with the property development team to ensure accurate and reconciled development reporting.

What are we looking for?

Experience

  • Proven track record of strategic financial leadership in Hotels/Hospitality.
  • 5+ Years PQE.
  • Demonstrated success in leading annual audits and managing complex stakeholder relationships.

Skills and Knowledge & Qualities

  • Expertise in financial planning (FP&A), cashflow management and consolidated reporting.
  • Deep understanding of HMRC compliance, tax filings and banking covenants.
  • Strategic analytical skills to interpret data and provide commercial recommendations that drive growth.
  • Inspirational leader with the ability to coach a team and foster a culture of ownership and development.
