Position Overview

The Fundraiser, Corporations & Foundations is a revenue-generating role responsible for managing corporate and foundation partnerships and contributing directly to Room to Read’s fundraising targets. This role owns and grows a portfolio of donors including cause marketing partners, develops new funding opportunities, and supports proposal development and donor reporting. The Fundraiser works across teams to convert opportunities into funding and ensure strong partner delivery. This is a hands-on role for someone who has successfully secured corporate or foundation funding and can manage both relationships and execution.

What You Will Do

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of corporate and foundation donors, including cause marketing partners.
  • Contribute to annual revenue targets (approx. $300K–$750K+) through renewals, upgrades, and new gifts.
  • Lead day-to-day donor communication, stewardship, and reporting.
  • Negotiate renewals, upgrades, and extensions with existing partners.
  • Identify, research, and develop new corporate and foundation funding opportunities.
  • Support and contribute to proposal development, including concept notes and partnership pitches.
  • Write and edit donor materials (proposals, reports, presentations, and briefings).

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Partner with Programs, Finance, Legal, Communications, and other teams to design and deliver partnerships.
  • Support transition from proposal stage to project kickoff in coordination with Program Operations.
  • Ensure alignment on budgets, deliverables, and timelines across teams.

Pipeline Tracking & Operations

  • Track pipeline, revenue projections, and proposal progress in coordination with the Associate Director.
  • Maintain accurate donor and pipeline data in Salesforce (or similar CRM).
  • Support due diligence, contracting, and compliance processes.
  • Prepare internal updates, meeting materials, and donor briefings.
  • Participate in internal coordination meetings and ensure follow-up actions are completed.

What Success Looks Like (First 3–6 Months)

  • Independently manage day-to-day relationships with assigned donors, including cause marketing partners.
  • Contribute to active proposals and pipeline development with minimal oversight.
  • Deliver clear, high-quality donor materials on time.
  • Identify and begin advancing new funding opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Fundraising & Revenue Management (3+ years). Proven experience in corporate and/or foundation fundraising with direct responsibility for revenue generation.
  • Demonstrated Track Record of Securing Funding. Proven success obtaining corporate or foundation gifts in the $50,000–$100,000 range.
  • Donor Relationship Management. Ability to cultivate, steward, and grow partnerships, including renewals and upgrades.
  • Proposal & Writing Skills. Experience developing high-quality donor-facing materials (proposals, reports, presentations).
  • Pipeline Development & Prospect Research. Ability to identify, research, and advance new funding opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination. Experience working across teams to develop and deliver partnerships or projects.
  • Project & Process Management. Ability to manage multiple priorities and track progress across fundraising activities.
  • Financial Acumen for Proposals. Experience working with budgets for proposals and donor reporting.
  • Data & CRM Management (Salesforce or similar). Experience maintaining accurate donor data and tracking pipelines.
  • Cause Marketing / Corporate Partnerships Exposure (Preferred). Familiarity with cause marketing or corporate partnership models.

Compensation

Up to GBP 45,000 depending on experience.
