Job Description
We have exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and reliable Trainee Despatch Assistant to join our clients growing team. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity based in Cheshunt, ideal for trainee who is keen to learn, develop new skills, and grow within the company. Our client offers full on-the-job training with a clear path to progression within the business for the right candidate. The role is a full-time temporary to permanent position working from 6.30am – 4.30pm and the pay on offer is the national minimum wage.
This position is not just a labouring role — our client is looking for someone who is eager to progress in a supportive and evolving workplace and someone who is able to work within a warehouse/despatch environment and assist with heavy lifting and movement of stock within the warehouse.
Duties include:
- Assist in picking, packing, and organising parcels and pallets ready for dispatch
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe despatch area
- Help with material movement related to cutting or fabrication processes
- Assist with loading company vans as and when required
- Support other general warehouse or operational duties as needed
