Our client is a well-established and highly respected supplier of prestige parts based in Hoddesdon, renowned for delivering exceptional quality products and outstanding customer service.
They are looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative / Picker Packer to join their friendly, close-knit team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced warehouse environment where accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
Unlike many warehouse roles, you will be handling high-value, precision-engineered components rather than large or heavy goods, making this an ideal position for someone who takes pride in delivering quality work.
The working hours are 8:00am – 5:00pm (4 days per week) and 8:0am – 6:00pm (1 day per week) with 1 hour lunch, Monday – Friday and our client offers a salary of £27,097.72 - £30,000 depending on experience.
The Role
As a Warehouse Operative / Picker Packer, you will play a vital role in ensuring customer orders are picked accurately, carefully packed and dispatched on time.
You'll be responsible for handling a wide range of small, premium products, ensuring they are protected during transit and reach customers in perfect condition.
Working as part of a supportive team, you will also be trusted to work independently, taking ownership of your workload while maintaining high standards of organisation and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick customer orders using picking lists and warehouse systems.
- Carefully pack small, high-value automotive parts to ensure they arrive safely and undamaged.
- Carry out quality checks to ensure the correct products and quantities are dispatched.
- Prepare orders for courier collections and daily dispatch.
- Put stock away into designated warehouse locations.
- Maintain accurate stock levels and assist with regular stock counts.
- Keep the warehouse clean, tidy and organised at all times.
- Report any stock discrepancies or damaged items promptly.
- Work efficiently to meet daily order deadlines while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.
About You
The successful candidate will have previous experience within a warehouse, stores or picker/packer environment and will understand the importance of accuracy when handling customer orders.
You will also possess
- Previous experience in a Warehouse Operative, Picker Packer or Stores role.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience handling small or delicate products would be advantageous.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Good communication skills.
- A willingness to learn and support colleagues where required.
- Basic computer skills for stock management would be beneficial.
