We have an exciting opportunity to be part of a very ambitious and forward-thinking UK manufacturer, selling to the commercial fit-out industry. Our client is recruiting a Head of Pre-Construction to work within their busy and growing team. The role is a full-time position working onsite in Hoddesdon from 7.00am – 4.30pm, Monday – Friday and offers a competitive salary depending on experience, plus excellent company benefits.
You will be processing incoming project enquiries, liaising with the sales team and customers, understanding technical information, co-ordinating designs, technical submittals and providing completed quotes for sales account managers to take forward.
Duties include:
- Managing the internal pre-construction team and overseeing the delivery of project enquiries.
- Initial development and refining of the whole pre-construction process including overseeing product data cleansing project.
- Overall co-ordination of workflow from initial enquiry to 'oven ready quote' for sales account managers to take forward. This includes:
- Liaising with account manager/customers to get a detailed grasp of project requirements.
- Putting together a brief including making assumptions where information is not available.
- Co-ordinating designs/drawing take-offs to produce a full breakdown of all products required for the project.
- Entering of the above product requirements onto a sales quotation which is 100% accurate to facilitate world class enquiry response times.
- Processing of sales orders when received and handing them over to operations.
- Liaising with suppliers on bespoke products.
- Build up and manage a team using remote offshore resources.
- Support the sales team with technical queries if required.
- Work with the sales and operations teams to continually improve systems and processes.
