We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Front of House/ Catering Assistant to join our well-known client based in Broxbourne. This is a seasonal role offering an hourly rate of £12.50 per hour, and the successful candidate will be required to work flexible hours depending on bookings, peaking during June through to September. Weekend and evening availability is essential for this position. Responsibilities: Kitchen & Catering: * To help prep and cook meals as well as serving. * To cover the bar, selling drinks and other snacks, as required. * Maintaining adequate stock levels and assisting in ordering supplies. * Ensuring the highest level of food hygiene and cleanliness of all food preparation areas is maintained at all times. * Assisting other staff with ensuring that the highest standard of maintenance and cleanliness of kitchen equipment and dining facilities is upheld. * Cleaning after the events. Front of House: * Greeting guests and ensuring they feel welcome and comfortable. * Taking orders and assisting with service during events, including ensuring food and beverages are served promptly and to the highest standard. * Managing guest inquiries and resolving any issues to maintain customer satisfaction. * Assisting in the setup and breakdown of event spaces, including arranging tables and setting up service areas. Administrative: * Supporting the event planning team with administrative tasks such as booking confirmations. * Assisting in managing event schedules * Supporting any other administrative needs Essential Skills and Experience: * Experience working in a working kitchen or catering environment. * Literate and numerate at a GCSE qualification level C or equivalent in experience and qualification. * Effective in facing customers and providing customer services, able to deal with varied customer demands. * Able to work in an environment guided by instructions, regulations, and procedures. * Able to work unsupervised for periods of time. * Knowledge of equipment and machinery involved in catering and food preparation. * Maintain standards of hygiene and cleaning preparation practices to ensure a 5* FHRS rating. * Level 2 Health and Hygiene qualification. * Experience working in a small business where tasks and requirements can change quickly (desirable). * First aid at Work Qualification (desirable)
