Room 8 Group is an end-to-end strategic partner in external game development. Working across all platforms, the company provides creative and technical expertise across game development, technology, art, trailers, and QA for AAA and AA games.
The Heroic Trailers team is looking for a Senior Editor to work on the Cinematics that our studio develops.
Superpowers you have are:- Excellent understanding of film language, cinematography techniques and terminology;
- Sense of rhythm, timing and pacing;
- Strong understanding of composition, lighting, and color theory;
- Experience working with storyboards and previsualization to block and pace narratives;
- Passion for video games and storytelling;
- Mastery of Premiere or comparable nonlinear editing software.
- Understanding of video game storytelling techniques and integration with gameplay;
- Experience supporting cinematic development in a game’s context;
- Experience with game engines that use editing paradigms;
- Knowledge of UE sequencer.
As a part of Room 8 studio, you will:
- Work closely with the Cinematic Director to develop narrative scenes;
- Collaborate with the Director of Cinematography and Cine Artists to create immersive and engaging shots and sequences;
- Work with other related disciplines to create compelling cinematics from animatics, previz to final game-rendered cinematics;
- Collaborate with the Art Producer and Project Lead to ensure the highest quality and participate in production pipeline optimization;
- Timely & fully implement the feedback from lead artists (internal and external);
- Edit Cinematic and on-the-sticks cinematic scenes;
- Create cinematics based on scripts, from initial animatics to final finished cinematics;
- Solve creative and technical problems as they arise.
