Purpose of job
As an assistant manager of a pub, you will work closely with the general manager to oversee the daily operations and provide excellent customer service. You will assist in managing the pub's staff, ensuring a positive work environment, and maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness. Responsibilities
- Staff Supervision: Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising pub staff. Provide guidance, support, and constructive feedback to ensure high performance and adherence to policies and procedures. Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions.

- Financial Management: Assist in monitoring expenses, controlling costs, and managing budgets. Help with inventory control, ordering supplies, and managing vendor relationships. Prepare reports and financial statements as required.
- Teamwork and Communication: Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, effective communication, and cooperation among staff members. Liaise with other departments or external parties, such as suppliers or entertainment providers, as necessary.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with licensing laws, regulations, and health and safety standards. Stay updated on changes in regulations and implement necessary measures to meet legal requirements.
