Designation and Contract

Maternity Cover

Contract Type: Temporary, from 1st September 2026 up until 12th February 2027

Contract Term: Term Time Only (38 weeks)

Hours: Full-time

Salary: MPS / UPS

Responsibilities

  • Teach Drama up to Key Stage 4, with some lessons in Key Stage 3 English.
  • Plan, deliver and assess lessons for all ability ranges.
  • Support the department’s creative initiatives and contribute to innovative curricular and extra‑curricular programmes.
  • Develop professional practice as an Early Career Teacher (ECT).

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Qualified teacher or legally qualified in teaching.
  • Relevant experience teaching Drama and/or English at KS3/KS4 levels preferred.
  • Clearance under the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and update service.
  • Certificate of Good Conduct if having lived abroad and fulfilling relevant requirements.
  • Ability to comply with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
