Rent and Service Charge Officer / Finance Assistant / Social Housing

Senior Rent and Service Charge Officer with experience in finance / accounting and social housing rents and service charges, ability to analyse and interpret numerical data, and excellent communication skills is required for a well-established housing association. SALARY: £35,000 – £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications) + excellent benefits (see below) LOCATION: Hybrid working from the office in Evesham, Worcestershire (WR11) and from home – with travel to other offices, services, schemes, projects, housing, or development locations as dictated by the role JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent Job Overview We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Senior Rent and Service Charge Officer with experience in finance / accounting and social housing rents and service charges, ability to analyse and interpret numerical data, and excellent communication skills. As the Senior Rent and Service Charge Officer, you will provide a financial business partnering service to the Operations and Resources Directorates. Your responsibilities include calculating the annual rent uplift, ensuring all rents are calculated correctly and compliant with the Rent Standard, and completing the Statistical Data Return to the Social Housing Regulator. You will be the key contact for service charges, calculating charges in line with policy, leading on and preparing variable service charge reconciliations, and setting service charges for new developments. You will also assist in producing the monthly management accounts, specific working papers for statutory accounts, sector scorecard, and ensure the accuracy of financial statements.
