The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Assistant Branch Manager to join our Swindon branch. Working alongside the Branch Manager, you’ll help oversee the day-to-day running of the branch, support the team, deliver excellent customer service and help drive sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Branch Manager with the day-to-day running of the branch.
- Serve customers on the trade counter and over the phone.
- Prepare quotations and process customer orders.
- Build strong relationships with trade and retail customers.
- Support and motivate branch colleagues.
- Assist with achieving branch sales and service targets.
- Take responsibility for the branch in the Branch Manager’s absence.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety and compliance.
- Help identify new sales opportunities and develop customer accounts.
- Ensure customers receive excellent service at all times.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a sales or customer service role.
- Experience within a Roofing Merchant or Builders Merchant would be beneficial.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to build relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Reliable, punctual and a strong team player.
- Knowledge of roofing materials would be an advantage.
