Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site role based in the London area for an Onsite Electrical Technician. The technician will install, test, and resolve electrical systems associated with rooflight products on customer sites and within the production facility. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include performing scheduled and reactive electrical component replacement under warranty, fault‑finding, and troubleshooting to ensure reliability and safety. The role involves site visits to replace worn out motors and manual opener parts for legacy rooflights mainly on flat roof installations by others. The technician will collaborate closely with our customer services team, production, installation, and engineering teams, follow health and safety procedures, complete service reports, and support continuous improvement of electrical set‑ups and processes.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical skills with practical ability essential, if you can wire a plug we can easily train you.
  • Hands‑on experience working with a range of electrical equipment, components, and control systems in an industrial or construction environment useful but not essential.
  • Recognised electrical qualification (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent); 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification is beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail, commitment to safety, and ability to prioritise tasks in a fast‑paced, on‑site environment.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and able to interact with homeowners.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to local customer sites as required.
