We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Insurance Analyst to join our team at Rontec Roadside Retail on a temporary basis to cover a period of maternity. This role is crucial in supporting our operations and ensuring the smooth processing of insurance claims and policies.
Rontec is one of the leading players in the UK forecourt industry and operate more than 267 petrol stations across England and Wales.
This role will be based in our Head Office in Watford 5 days a week.
ROLE OVERVIEW
To ensure the financial protection of the company’s assets and potential liabilities at the most economical cost by managing and identifying business risks and handling claims and enquiries. To manage the company car fleet ensuring that vehicles are available as required through our third-party fleet providers and maintaining accurate records for the fleet.
KEY ACTIVITIES
Insurance
- To arrange and put in place the company’s insurance programme and oversee the annual renewal process.
- Handle a varied portfolio of claims correspondence with relation to Employers Liability, Public/Product Liability, Property, Motor, Environmental, Life Assurance and where required, Computer, PA/Travel & financial lines. Ensuring that they are handled efficiently and economically from first notification through to settlement
- To be the initial point of contact for all general claims related matters and coverage /policy queries (from both internal and external sources) and providing essential administration support to the business
- Collation of data for claims investigation
- Providing support and feedback on claims investigation
- Preparation of monthly report for Board meetings
- Keeping up to date with latest legislation, ensuring company compliance particularly in relation to data protection and MOJ Reforms
- To liaise externally daily with Third Party Insurers, Brokers, Loss Adjusters, Legal advocates etc. on claims and other matters
- To act as an in-house claims handler directly pursuing uninsured loss recoveries with third parties and their insurers to recuperate costs of repair works to Rontec property in the event of impact damage
- Effective prioritisation of duties and follow up with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure
- Processing of transactions and payments for premiums and excesses liaising with the Accounts Department as appropriate
- Follow up of unusual Loyalty card usage to assist in fraud prevention.
- Identifying change in business requirements and reporting to Brokers any policy amendments or additions required
Fleet Management
- To allocate company cars and managing movement of the vehicles between employees
- Arrangement of temporary hires
- Maintaining the MID database ensuring all vehicle details are up to date and logging any changes
Accountabilities
- Ensuring the company’s insurance program is always in place.
- To actively seek through the company brokers, the most cost effect insurance program through ensuring all relevant information is accurate and disclosed in a timely manner.
- To ensure all claims are handled in accordance with the claim guidelines and without undue delay.
- Maintain accurate records of all claims and investigations, including those that are not escalated to the insurance company.
- Responsible for all loss recovery from third parties and insurance companies to ensure Rontec are protected from any unnecessary costs.
- Ensuring effective communication within the Company and Site Network.
- Delivery of an effective and efficient fleet management service whilst ensuring costs are kept within agreed guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in insurance analysis or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
