The Opportunity
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated Assistant Financial Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for someone who is part‑qualified (or working towards a professional accounting qualification) and looking to develop their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.
What You Will Be Doing
- Day‑to‑day accounts payable and receivables duties for the group
- Accurately process financial information within month end deadlines
- Obtain approvals of invoices from all departments
- Support audit preparation
- Assist in preparation of management accounts
- Assist in accruals and prepayments processing
- Assist in budgets; forecast preparation across the group
- General accounts queries - Investigating and liaising with other departments
- Cover for others of the finance team during period of absence and annual leave
- Contribute to process improvements within the finance team
What You’ll Need
- 1–3 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role
- A solid understanding of basic accounting principles
- Currently studying towards a professional qualification (ACCA / CIMA / ACA)
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to manage workload and meet tight deadlines
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
