The Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Financial Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for someone who is part-qualified (or working towards a professional accounting qualification) and looking to develop their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Day-to-day accounts payable and receivables duties for the group.
- Accurately process financial information within month end deadlines.
- Obtain approvals of invoices from all departments.
- Assist to preparation of management accounts.
- Assist in accruals and prepayments processing.
- Assist in budgets; forecast preparation across the group.
- General accounts queries - investigating and liaising with other departments.
- Cover for others of the finance team during period of absence and annual leave.
- Contribute to process improvements within the finance team.
What you'll need:
- 1–3 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role.
- A solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Currently studying towards a professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA).
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage workload and meet tight deadlines.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
