Salon Manager/Hairstylist

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Salon Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy salon. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for the beauty industry, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring high standards of service, and fostering a welcoming environment for clients. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining a professional atmosphere, driving sales, and mentoring team members to achieve their full potential.

Duties

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the salon, including scheduling appointments and overseeing staff rotas
• Lead and motivate a team of stylists, beauticians, and front desk personnel to deliver outstanding service
• Ensure all services such as barbering, eyelash extensions, and makeup application are performed to the highest standards
• Provide mentoring and training to staff on technical skills and customer service excellence
• Drive sales through upselling additional treatments and retail products effectively
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and health & safety compliance within the salon
• Handle customer enquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure client satisfaction
• Oversee stock management and ordering of salon products and equipment
• Promote specialised services like eyelash extensions and makeup application to enhance client experience

Requirements

• Proven experience in store management within the beauty or hairdressing industry
• Strong knowledge of barbering, eyelash extensions, and makeup application is highly desirable
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build lasting client relationships
• Effective communication skills to liaise with clients and team members confidently
• Experience in front desk operations including appointment booking and retail sales upselling
• Ability to mentor staff, foster teamwork, and lead by example
• Organised with good time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
• Passionate about the beauty industry with a keen eye for detail and current trends
• Previous experience in store management or supervisory roles within a salon environment is preferred
