The Golf Fundraiser will be responsible for planning, organising, and executing golf fundraising events to support Ronald McDonald House Charities UK. This role aims to maximise revenue, enhance donor engagement, and ensure memorable experiences for all participants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Event Planning and Coordination: Support the planning and execution of golf fundraising events, including securing venues, managing logistics, and coordinating with vendors and sponsors. Understanding and knowledge of golf rules and competition variations including scoring handicap systems. Help to identify new event opportunities and innovation.
  • Donor Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, sponsors, and participants, providing excellent stewardship and support to maximise fundraising efforts.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Work with the MarComms team to create promotional materials and campaigns to advertise events.
  • Volunteer Management: Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to support event operations, ensuring a smooth and successful event experience.
  • Budget Management: Monitor income and expenditure, providing regular financial reports.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyse event performance data, prepare reports, and provide insights to improve future events.
  • Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure all events comply with relevant regulations and best practices, maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Skills and Experience

  • Good understanding of golf rules and the functionality of a golf tournament.
  • Experience in supporting in the organising, planning and executing of a successful golf event.
  • Experience working across functions with a diverse range of people/stakeholders.
  • Good operational planning and delivery experience.
  • Full current and clean UK driving license.
  • Understanding of and adhering to legal and ethical requirements related to General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), confidentiality, and the protection of children and vulnerable adults (Safeguarding).
