We’re looking for a Strategic Account Director to join a company within the edtech space to own and develop a portfolio of enterprise accounts, with a strong focus on US-based customers. Operating from the UK, you will act as a strategic advisor, building senior stakeholder relationships across time zones, driving measurable outcomes, and ensuring long-term retention and growth. This role requires a commercially focused approach, aligning platform capabilities with customer objectives while managing complex stakeholder environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end commercial strategy across a portfolio of enterprise and US-based accounts
- Develop and execute multi-year account plans aligned to customer objectives and revenue targets
- Build and maintain senior relationships with key stakeholders, including C-suite and leadership teams
- Identify and drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities through value-led business cases
- Lead renewal strategies, ensuring strong retention and revenue performance
- Monitor account health and proactively manage risks through cross-functional collaboration
- Coordinate internal teams to deliver a seamless and high-quality customer experience
- Act as the central point of alignment across product, customer success, marketing, and support teams

What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in account management or customer-facing commercial roles within SaaS or technology environments
- Proven experience managing high-value enterprise accounts with responsibility for retention and growth targets
- Experience working with US-based or international customers from a UK base
- Confident engaging with senior stakeholders, including executive-level decision makers
- Strong ability to manage complex stakeholder environments and influence outcomes
- Structured approach to account planning, with the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver customer outcomes
- Commercially aware, with a strong understanding of market trends and customer needs
- Self-motivated, organised, and focused on building long-term customer relationships
