We’re looking for an IT Manager to join a company within the finance industry. You will be overseeing and enhancing its technology and infrastructure. This role is key to ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of IT systems, while aligning technology with wider business goals. You will take ownership of day-to-day IT operations, infrastructure management, and cybersecurity, while supporting internal teams and driving continuous improvement across systems and processes.
Responsibilities
- Oversee installation, maintenance, and upgrades of hardware systems including servers, workstations, and networking equipment
- Manage Microsoft-based environments, including Windows Servers and Microsoft 365
- Ensure optimal performance of firewalls, routers, switches, and network components
- Administer and support phone systems across the business
- Maintain and troubleshoot printer systems
- Manage renewal of contracts for IT equipment and software
- Maintain and update the IT asset register
- Oversee cloud service management
Cybersecurity and Compliance
- Develop and enforce cybersecurity protocols to protect systems and data
- Monitor threats and respond to security incidents
- Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations
IT Policies
- Create, update, and enforce IT policies and procedures
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and system integrity
Contract Management
- Negotiate and manage contracts with IT vendors and service providers
- Evaluate and onboard new technology partners
Software and Systems Administration
- Manage enterprise applications and software licensing
- Oversee system backups, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity
Support
- Provide technical guidance and training to internal teams
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex IT issues
