We’re working with a leading tech company in the North East who are looking for an Automation QA Engineer to play a key role in maintaining the quality and reliability of their cutting-edge platform. This hybrid role requires 2 days a week in the Newcastle-upon-Tyne office.
What you’ll be doing:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using modern tools and frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and apply the right testing methodologies
- Identify opportunities to enhance automation across the testing process, improving efficiency and coverage
- Conduct thorough regression testing to ensure platform stability during new feature rollouts
- Perform root cause analysis for test failures and work closely with developers to resolve issues quickly
- Create and maintain test data, environments, and harnesses required for automated testing
- Monitor, analyse, and report on test results to key stakeholders
- Proactively contribute to improving testing processes and practices across the team
- Keep up to date with the latest QA tools and best practices, sharing insights with the wider team
