This is a full-time role for a newly qualified solicitor based in our Self Build Property team in our Exeter Office. As a Property Solicitor at Ronald Fletcher Baker LLP, you will be responsible for handling all aspects of residential property transactions (freehold, leasehold, new build, remortgages, transfers of equity and lease extensions). The team specialises in self-build remortgages and purchases; knowledge of self-build or new-build properties would be advantageous. However, this is not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided.
Qualifications and Experience
- A qualified solicitor with a valid practising certificate or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience in handling residential property transactions
- Prior involvement in self‑build developments is preferred but not compulsory
- Strong knowledge of property law, conveyancing procedures, and legal regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently
- Proficient in legal research and drafting legal documents
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
