Transport Manager - The Role:
You will be responsible for the complete administration and management of the company's transport operations at the busy Transport Yard. This is a varied role encompassing vehicle fleet management, driver compliance, administrative duties, and working closely with external partners to ensure all operations run smoothly and in line with company procedures and industry regulations.
Transport Manager Key Responsibilities:
- Full management of the company's vehicle fleet including MOT scheduling, servicing, repairs, O licence administration and OCRS monitoring
- Tachograph administration, driver licence checks, CPC and ADR compliance for all HGV drivers arranging training and courses as required
- Routing of RoRos, tippers, road sweeper and pick-up lorry, plus handling skip and RoRo requests by phone and email
- Liaising with insurers, Bureau Veritas and external contractors to ensure vehicle, machinery and attachment inspections and repairs are completed on time
- Purchase order processing, invoice authorisation, accident report forms, rectification reports and month-end reporting on skip rental, tyres and maintenance costs
- Supporting HR duties including recruitment, inductions, driver assessments, holiday requests and training records
Transport Manager - Requirements:
- CPC qualification is a must
- Reliably commute or plan to relocate to Rotherham before starting work
