Romax Solutions are currently seeking an experienced Senior Logistics Manager to take full ownership of site logistics on a large, complex construction project. This role is suited to a confident professional with a proven background managing logistics on major UK developments, including multi-storey or high-value schemes. You will play a critical role in maintaining programme, safety, and efficiency across a busy site environment, working closely with the Project Manager, Site Managers, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for all logistics strategy and site-wide logistics operations
- Develop, implement, and manage detailed logistics plans in line with the construction programme
- Coordinate high-volume deliveries, material call-offs, waste management, and plant movements
- Manage traffic management plans, hoists, cranes, loading bays, and restricted access areas
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate logistics teams, including supervisors, operatives, banksmen, and gatemen
- Act as the primary logistics point of contact for site management and subcontractors
- Enforce strict health & safety standards and ensure compliance with UK regulations
- Proactively identify risks and resolve logistics constraints affecting programme or productivity
- Chair logistics coordination meetings and contribute to short-term planning
- Monitor performance, reporting issues and improvements to senior site management
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Senior Logistics Manager on major UK construction projects
- Strong background in large commercial, residential, or mixed-use developments
- Excellent understanding of construction sequencing and logistics-led planning
- Proven ability to manage large teams and interface with multiple subcontractors
- Confident decision-maker with strong leadership and communication skills
- SMSTS (essential)
- CSCS Black or Gold Card (essential)
- First Aid (preferred)
- Strong IT skills (delivery booking systems, reporting, site comms)
