About the Role
Romax Solutions is seeking a Registered Nurse to work on a major construction project based in Silvertown, Canning Town. This is a site-based role requiring a full-time on-site presence Monday to Friday, providing occupational health support to trades, labour, and site staff throughout the working week. The site has an on-site office base for the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver on-site occupational health support to construction site operatives and staff
- Carry out pre-employment and periodic health assessments/medicals
- Carry out drug & alcohol (D&A) testing
- Respond to workplace injuries and provide first-line treatment/triage
- Maintain accurate, confidential health records in line with GDPR
- Advise site management on fitness for work and health-related concerns
- Liaise with site management, HR, and external healthcare providers as needed
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) – active NMC registration with a valid PIN
- Right to work in the UK
Preferred / Adds Value (training can be provided)
- Occupational Health qualification (e.g. OH diploma, degree, or SCPHN-OH)
- Drug & Alcohol (D&A) testing certification
- First Aid at Work or equivalent
- Experience in a fast-paced clinical setting (A&E, minor injuries, GP practice)

- Confident and approachable manner – able to build trust quickly with trades and labourers, particularly around D&A testing
- Strong communication skills across a diverse workforce, including workers who may have English as a second language
- Discreet and non-judgmental approach to sensitive conversations
- Assertive enough to enforce D&A/fitness-for-work outcomes when needed, while remaining professional
- Comfortable working in a busy construction environment
- Able to commit to full-time, consistent Monday–Friday site presence
